I stumbled across Stephen Gough, so-called “naked rambler”, who walked the length of the UK completely naked other than his shoes.
He tried it again in 2006-07 but was arrested, and has spent much of the intervening years in prison for repeatedly refusing to leave jail wearing clothes. He has spent more than 6 years in prison as a result.
I saw some videos and I find it interesting how polarized the responses are. Some people laugh and cheer as he walks by, others seem to go into meltdown. There was a woman who chased and viciously attacked him.
How would you react to a naked person walking through your street? Would you feel offended? Perhaps call the police? Would you feel an urge to attack him/her?
