Having been together for 18 years and after many conversations about not wanting kids, a year or so ago my wife decided that she’d like to start a family. We’re now at a point where we have to discuss it almost daily, I’m completely against it but she’s becoming increasingly desperate – we’re approaching our forties and she’s worried she’s running out of time. I understand that it’s different for my wife and that the longing to be a mother is something I can’t comprehend and a part of me doesn’t want to deprive her of that. I like kids and I’m sure we’d make pretty good parents, I just don’t want my own.
