Ordered an item from John Lewis. Evri told me after a week it was delayed and to contact JL if it hadn’t arrived after another week. That week also passed with no updates, so I contacted JL. They said they believed the package had been lost in transit and immediately offered me a refund. I didn’t ask for the refund, just advice on what to do.
A couple of days later, Evri email me saying the parcel is now on its way and it has been delivered (to my wheelie bin, where else). So I’ve managed to wrangle a freebie.
Am I legally obliged to inform John Lewis of this? Are they likely to find out from Evri that it was delivered and pursue payment? The item value was about £70. Thanks
