Is it me having common sense and being independent, or are the questions getting more ridiculous each day? I feel that people just don’t seem to have the basic concept of how to search for information so come straight to reddit to ask the most basic of questions. Is this a younger generational thing? I’m in the 45-55 age group.
Things like
Q. “how does the car wash work at Tesco?”
A. ASK THE STAFF.
Q. How do we plan a funeral (sorry for your loss I appreciate this can be a hard time and you’ll have problems thinking things through, but….)
A. Ask a Funeral Director.
Q. Is it possible to live off Grid
A. GOOGLE/YouTube brings back 1000’s of videos
Q. Can I get a refund from a builder not completing the work?
A. Speak to them.
Nearly every question has the most common sense answer. Most of them are use a search engine, Google, Bing, Yandex etc.
The other answers are fairly obvious…. Speak to / Ask the person involved.
Then there’s the lifestyle questions.
Q. Should I take this job
Q. Should I leave my job
Q. Should I buy this car.
I personally feel these are all from people wanting to blame someone else when it all goes wrong, considering everything needs to be someone else’s fault…. “Well I asked Reddit and they said yes, so it’s their fault!” It’s your life, you do what you think is right for you. If it’s pro’s and cons then ask something like …. “I’m thinking of buying this car. I need one of x size but can only afford y. What’s peoples thoughts on this car? any problems that will cost more? and what’s the real world mpg and servicing costs?”
I know this will get down votes, because people will be offended because I have my own opinion, but to be honest. I don’t care. I do me, you do you.
